What data we collect

When you browse the site, the hosting server records technical data generated by your browser: IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time. This information is used to operate, secure and maintain the website.

If you contact the Monastery by telephone, email or the contact form, we process the details you give us (name, email address, telephone number and the content of your message) solely in order to reply.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects aggregated information about how the site is used (pages viewed, device type, general geographic region). We do not use this information to identify you personally.

Cookies

The site stores your analytics-cookie choice in your browser so that we do not have to ask on every visit.

The Google measurement tag is present on every page. Analytics cookies are enabled only after you choose Accept. If you choose Decline, no analytics cookies are stored.

The Visit page includes a Google Maps map. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads, independently of your analytics choice.

Recipients

Your data are not sold and are not used for third-party advertising.

They may be processed, on the Monastery’s behalf, by the website’s hosting provider and by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC, if you have consented to Analytics or if the map on the Visit page is loaded.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Google and the hosting provider may process data in the United States or in other countries outside the EEA. Where required, transfers take place with the safeguards provided for by European Union law.

Retention

Server logs are kept for as long as needed for the security and operation of the website.

Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any related legal obligations.

Google Analytics data are kept according to the Monastery’s account settings and Google’s own policy.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, data portability, and the right to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis.
